Can't search event in iCal Leopard

After upgraded to Leopard, the search function in iCal doesn't work. When typing a event title in the search field, the search pan appears with empty contents. Does anybody get the same result?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5)

So glad to find all of this information here. I have been going crazy trying to figure out why I could not get ANY search results in iCal. After reading all of the thread inputs, I started with the easiest-first approach and dumped my old iCal plist. Now search in my iCal works great. Thanks to everyone who posted their solutions here.
