Epson CD printing no longer works!

Mine is 1.2.0A, and it does have a Page Setup option under the File menu, making it possible to use with Leopard... so I guess this is one of those cases where newer is NOT better!

Unfortunately, PrintCD is one of those things that I don't think Epson makes available for download on their website. Still, you might try badgering their support contact for either a newer version, a link to the older version, or an explicit description of what you need to do to get yours to work. (I've been having not much luck with them, though -- so far all I'm getting are generic responses that sound as if the support person didn't actually read my original question.)

Thought you might be interested in the following email response I just received from Epson:

"Hello,
Thank you for contacting the Epson Connection.
By the end of this week we will have an Epson Print CD option for you for
Leopard. Please check the web site."

So they are working on it, and let's hope the new option will solve your problem!

I'm using Disk Cover, from www.belightsoft.com

It works fine with USB printing to CD/DVD.

You might want to consider this until Epson sorts out their product.

I have the same version as you, but took the A4 advice from the previous post and did pretty much the same thing...

If you go to print, you get the error message. Click ok. In the print dialog, go to manual set up and change the printer to your epson (mine is a photo r320) and choose A4. Works perfectly.

Hope this helps until the epson update this week. (we'll see)

Both my Epson R340 and R1800 work when selecting A4 for the Paper Size and cd/dvd for media type. After wasting 12 printable discs with all kinds of silly outcomes who would have guessed that A4 would have been the route to take!
Thanx to this forum or I would never have been able to complete my project of 65 discs for a client!

Epson has been idiotic in handling this. I have had 2 phone calls and 5 emails, and no Epson tech support has been worth 5cents.

works fine here with an Epson R220.
However, much prefer Discuss (as software) and print onto CD/DVDs to Epson R220!

I did the Nov 8 update and the FIle->Update printer info and has been working fine since, using an Epson R340

Could anybody UL or send me a copy of EPSON Print CD installer or drivers - I can't find d@mn installer CD that came with with printer and there's nothing on Epson sites. When I want to print a CD the app says Epson Print CD drivers are missing.. whatta heck??

After installing Epson EasyPrint 31ba or whatever that is Print CD app finally worked.

Don't forget to choose "Update printer information" in File menu after after installation, it takes a while, but now it finally works : )

I just wanted to thank the contributors to this thread for coming up with the only workable solutions - Epson and Apple no help at all. The installation of the updated Epson Easyprint plus the File->Update Printer Info within Epson Print CD worked for me on an R800.

I would just add 2 points - earlier versions of Epson Print CD don't have the File-> Update Printers option and that really threw me for a while. I originally had v1.3 installed and had to upgrade to 1.5 to get that option.

Also one contributor was proposing the option of using the 'A4 Manual' output within Page Setup for the R800 as a workaround. I just couldn't get that to work within other applications e.g. CD Label Print - this just kept giving messages that the page size was incorrectly defined. Epson Print CD is the only app I can get to work with Leopard and the R800 & Photo 1400 CD printing.

I've been searching high and low for the PrintCD software. Where did you find the 1.5 version? I would dearly love to get my hands on it. After upgrading to Leopard, i discovered that I had mislaid my Epson Install disk. I never really paid much attention to it because I counted on being able to download the latest drivers from their website; but I can't find PrintCD posted anywhere.
