Another Leopard Problem - Front Row & Airport Express/Airtunes

Just upgraded to Leopard.....

Now Front Row won't stream music through my Airport Express to remote speakers, although itunes will. What's going on and how do I fix this?

Using Front Row as a an interface for itunes streaming music wireless through my airport express connected to my hi-fi and distributing into to speakers in different rooms as an extremely vital function from my computer to have. It would be disgraceful if this functionality is not available in Leopard.

Come on Apple! Sort it out!!

What a waist of money buying the airport express if i am limited to only using it with iTunes.. This problem needs to be addressed ASAP or I will be returning it and going back to a good old wire connection..

What about movies?? What about radio? What about anything else i choose to stream to remote speakers?? Only iTunes?? Ridiculous!! Absolutely gutted!!!!

Agree: wasting our money to buy Airport Express ONLY for iTunes. I don't want to use Airfoil as this feature SUPPOSE to be supported by Front Row and QuickTime by DEFAULT together with iTunes.
C'mon Apple, why you don't want to make full use of yr products and make all of us happy?
I don't want to use Airfoil as it has ~3 seconds delay in audio for movies, so the movie is out of sync.
Second thought: I also assume Apple cannot actually make this video/audio sync working on their Airport Express, so that's probably the real reason for them NOT to provide us with this feature. C'mon Apple, is just a software feature on your own hardware.

Its the same for me, Front Row doesnt accept remote speakers from Airport Express.

High all, I found one solution:

"Remote Buddy"
from
http://www.iospirit.com

It costs money, but does a lot more than only solve the discussed front row-problem.
It can be used and configured with a lot of applications.
I tested it immediately and it workes fine. There is a 30-day-trial, so everbody can test it.

I've come here after calling Apple Support re this problem. They said that sound over Airport networks was designed only to work with iTunes, which is, of course, a cop-out and a FAIL.

But now that I've looked around, it seems like it could also be a falsehood: It seems Front Row supported sound on remote speakers connected via Airport in previous versions of the system software, but now on Leopard it's not supported.

I don't desire nor expect to purchase 3rd party software to make my Apple hardware work properly. I've sent feedback to Apple, and am inclined to write a review at the Apple Store to warn other purchasers of Airport hardware of this major limitation. I've made a huge investment and feel I'm holding the bag, forced to an additional purchase of software because Apple won't do their job. It's shameful.

I will monitor this thread for other suggestions on a workaround. Thanks.
