Pointer jumpy on MPB (Leopard) after wake from sleep...

All,

My MacBook Pro's pointer is "jumpy" when the machine returns from sleep mode. Restarting the machine does clear out the issue. Has anyone else observed this behavior?

Thanks,

Josh

Once you reproduce the jumpy pointer can you open Terminal.app and run this command -

sudo dmesg <PRESS ENTER>
password: <ENTER YOUR PASSWORD>

and then copy the last 50 or so lines of output and paste it here?

Reason I ask is I had similar issue and I get a particular error when that happens - just want to verify if yours is the same case. If so we can open a problem report with Apple at http://bugreport.apple.com.

very interesting about iStat pro installed.

I got my new MBP 2.4 Friday - let it sleep and wake all weekend, with no problems |While Plugged In|

Yesterday the machine was asleep, |Not plugged in| and when I woke it I had the sporadic mouse.

I am pretty sure that was the first time the machine was asleep while not plugged in.

I too have iStat installed.

My MBP 2.4 at work also has iStat pro installed, and it goes to sleep every night - but it is always plugged in and I have never had the problem.

Both machines are fresh installs.

Very interesting.

Also, neither machine has suffered from the "keyboard" issue.
