iPhone on O2 UK...

Hi Folks,

I understand a few of you seem to feel as if there is not enough information available.

Most info can be found on the O2 website.

Anyone who has any questions relating to the iPhone, feel free to ask...

I do currently work for O2, and i am fully trianed on the iPhone.

Please remeber: Any information i give is to the best of my knowledge, and no response by me is that of O2 UK.

The iPhone will be 'launched' from store's at 6. 02 pm.

U will have to be 18.

The shop will process your order, but activation f your iPhone will be done online by yourself.

With regards to EDGE, at the moment, although O2 has an EDGE network, O2 customer service do not have a tool to assess coverage.

This tool is expected to be in place by launch.

Any questions?

Isn't that just for a credit report, I don't think it includes telling you what your actual Credit Score is.

You could use the report it to see if your credit file is update & that no finance companies have marked you down as missing payments etc.

Anything below 299 is classed as very poor, 475 & above is classed as excellent on Credit scoring but each company has different criteria when considering credit/lending so even if you have a excellent score it does not mean they will give you credit.

I would think that would be fine

I used to miss payments all the time on my contract back in 2004, I even got an account terminated by T-Mobile for leaving a bill so overdue.

I have sinced not missed a payment and Ive been approved for 2 contracts since then. By T-Mobile!!

Your credit score fixes itself pretty quick I think, it only takes 6 months or so of good financial practice and things will look better. A phone contract is one of the smallest risk credit agreements I think, its not like you are borrowing £50k.

You should be fine.

but what do u mean by that? there are alot of people concerned
what would there have to be to fail?

Its done on a score, you are credit checked, and then the score you come out with determines pass/fail, or conditional accept with deposit.

I cannot give you details, i'm sure you understand why, but this should not be a big worry for pretty much everyone.

understand what your saying but a yes or no answer to this - will the credit checks be less strict than for other phones as we are paying for the phone?
cheers for all your help by the way.

I doubt it. Look at it this way. The credit check is presumably to reassure O2 that you will be able to pay your monthly bill. This is, after all, the 'credit' that they are offering to you. They won't care that you've paid for the phone. They just want to make sure that they aren't going to struggle to get your monthly dues off you!
