iPhone on O2 UK...

Hi Folks,

I understand a few of you seem to feel as if there is not enough information available.

Most info can be found on the O2 website.

Anyone who has any questions relating to the iPhone, feel free to ask...

I do currently work for O2, and i am fully trianed on the iPhone.

Please remeber: Any information i give is to the best of my knowledge, and no response by me is that of O2 UK.

The iPhone will be 'launched' from store's at 6. 02 pm.

U will have to be 18.

The shop will process your order, but activation f your iPhone will be done online by yourself.

With regards to EDGE, at the moment, although O2 has an EDGE network, O2 customer service do not have a tool to assess coverage.

This tool is expected to be in place by launch.

Any questions?

Hi o2iphone,
No I do not, if you read my message you will see I have tried to get an answer out of O2 about future upgrade terms, its appears to be clear in the terms about starting another 18mth contract if a new phone appears, but I was not satisified with the reply I got from O2. I do not wish to be stuck in an expensive 18mth contract without clear guidelines on contract terms.
thanks for the info...

ust rang apple support on the o2 helpline number and asked why my telephone number does not appear in the itunes information screen, they say that it does not appear AT ALL! i did find this strange as i didnt see why they would leave a space for it, anyway they guy said that because there is no telephone number on the sim card itunes wil not display a number.
does this sound right???

I posted this solution that i found in another thread, here is what i found...

I have found a solution to the problem of my number not being dispalyed properly. I now can see my number in itunes and at the top of the contacts and in the phone settings. It has something to do with the number being on the sim card, i went to my old (02) motorola KRZR mobile and went to my numbers with the o2 iphone sim installed, i saw that under my telephone numbers had no numbers listed, so i went to edit and added my iphone number. I now can see my telephone nmber listed where it should! I do think though that you cant just put the numbers on the sim (i tried that with a sim reader/writer) which didnt work, it has to be on the part of the sim which stores YOUR mobile number. I rang both apple support and o2 and neither of them were any help at all (see previous post)
Well this solution worked for me anyway.
