Currently Being ModeratedNov 11, 2007 11:16 PM (in response to peebly)Im also having the same issue, very annoying, I hope Apple would take time and explain why this issue is happening......we paid so much money for this little thing and I think we deserve to not have issue using their products.

Very annoying, come on Apple, I've just converted to iPod and it's not a good start!!!
(I have to say I'm loving the iPod Touch despite this bug!)Dell XPS M1710, Windows XP Pro
Currently Being ModeratedNov 12, 2007 2:14 PM (in response to robgrayson)Well, apparently, it takes them 3 days to give you a confirmation e-mail saying "Thank you for registering your iPod", and I just got another one saying that today. I assume that I'll get 6 of those e-mails because I had to register it 6 times, even though IT STILL ASKS ME TO REGISTER IT!!!Dell, Windows Vista, iPod touch
Currently Being ModeratedNov 12, 2007 10:51 PM (in response to robgrayson)Same prob on new iPod software:
iPod touch 1.1.2
iTunes 7.5 (19)
Mac OS X (10.4.10)
Maybe just a DB backlog since previous entry indicated eventual success and e-mail conf.MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

I have mostly Sony stuff (I hope I just didn't say the "S" word :-p),
but I just decided to get my first iPod.
Like everyone else, every time I open iTunes 220.127.116.11 and connect my ipod nano,
it asks me to register. Kinda annoying.
Currently Being ModeratedNov 20, 2007 4:11 PM (in response to robgrayson)I was having the same problem on two different iPod Touches. I restored and then reloaded songs, etc, and haven't been asked to register since. This also has worked on a new Nano.PowerMac G5, Mac OS X (10.5)

Currently Being ModeratedNov 21, 2007 6:55 PM (in response to Kwopau)if the warranty starts when you register then i'll wait a year or so....
im also having the same problem with registering multiple times, anyone found a solution?PC, Windows XP Pro
Currently Being ModeratedNov 21, 2007 10:02 PM (in response to robgrayson)well there is a never register option if you think you've already registered your ipod
secondly there is another way of registering it and it's through apple.com on support page
and lastly if you buy your apple product on an authentic apple store, usually you'll see that your warranty starts on the date of purchase
note: you can also check your warranty on apple.com support pageMac OS X (10.4.8)
Currently Being ModeratedNov 22, 2007 4:19 AM (in response to robgrayson)Every time I plug in my iPod touch, iTunes keeps telling me to register my iPod! Why? I did register it through Apple product registration. I even have conformation of that. It's very annoying! What's causing this? And why do I have to register it through iTunes? And I have iTunes 7.5 & Mac OS 10.5.1.
If anyone can help thanks.Power Mac G5 Dual 2.7GHz, 3GB RAM, 250GB HD, Mac OS X (10.5.1), Cinema HD 23" Display, ATI Radeon 9650 w/256MB RAM
