When I was in the Apple store this weekend the did not have an adpater to play the iPhone in my car. I don't have the socket to plug my phoen into so I am guessing I would need a FM adapter. Does anyone make one? Does anyone else know of a better way? I don;t have a tape deck either.

Steve, please do let us know how this works out, as I would love that product to work with my iPhone and will be ordering one myself if you give it the thumbs-up.
I got it today (thanks to Griffin who managed to ship it to the UK in 3 days!) and IT WORKS! I've owned 4 FM transmitters for the various iPods / cars I've had over the last few year and this one has got the best reception by far. It's also very unobtrusive when used with the Brodit car dock because if it's design.
However, when I plug it in, it does warn you about being an unsupported device and offers to go into airplane mode. I just select no and everything has been fine. I've tried calls/text/iPod functionality and everything has worked without a problem.
I looked through my emails from Griffin and the one I got from Sales confirmed that it had been certified but the one I got from support simply said that they have tried it extensively with the iPhone and it works. I'm going to follow up with Sales about why I get the warning message.
Yes I can make and receive call - all other functionality works without any problems.
The FM transmission quality is excellent! This may be because of this design. Take a look at it picture on the Griffin website. The FM transmitter is connected to the iPhone via a cable and therefore does not have to be next to the device.
Dom, I was wanting to know which model of Clarion ipod interface you are using. I have a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara with a factory Clarion head unit. I was thinking of getting the optional EA1251B ipod interface from Clarion, but did not know if it would work.
I have a BMW all prewired with a USB port which works fine with my friends iPod but not my very new iPhone - I'm sure there must be something obvious, because I can't see it ! Anyone been here ?
