Transfering files from 1400c to iBook and PC

I have a 1400c/166 running OS 8.0, a G4 iBook running OS 10.2, and a new PC running Windows XP. Also a SanDisk 512 MB memory stick.

The 1400c does not have ethernet.

I need to get 40 MB of mission critical email files off the 1400c and onto the PC.

Would love to find an adapter that will allow me to plug my little USB flash drive into the serial or SCSI ports in the back of my 1400c, but fear that must be way too simple to work.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Deb,

These boards just came online this morning and I am still learning my way around the new format.

AppleIIFreak replied to your post suggesting burning a CD on your PC laptop; this would be by far the easiest •if• you have a burner or access to one.

Another alternative is to buy a USB card reader and use it on both the laptop and eMac. There would be no need to buy the PCMCIA card reader for the laptop since you have built-in USB; I suggested the PCMCIA card reader for PB1400 since it does not have/support USB. You would want to buy a USB card reader that has both PC and Mac drivers, and you would also format the memory card on the PC laptop since the Mac can natively read both MS-DOS format (not sure about the name) and HFS/HFS Extended.
