I KNOW HOW TO SEND A BULK TEXT MESSAGE USING IPHONE

HERE IS THE WAY TO SEND A BULK TEXT MESSAGE USING THE IPHONE

Alright...the previous reply is correct, you cannot send a bulk text message using the SMS option on the phone....HOWEVER, (read carefully) if you are texting people with AT&T then you can create an e-mail address for them as follows. number@txt.att.net when you send them an e-mail to this address, it will show up on the other persons phone as a text message. Then when they reply it comes to you as an e-mail. I use this and I am no longer charged for text messages because I am using e-mail.

HERE IS THE ADDRESS IF YOU HAVE, ATT, ALLTEL, T-Mobile OR VERIZON
AT&T number@txt.att.net
alltel number@message.alltel.com
Verizon number@vtext.com
T-Mobile number@tmomail.net

So, if you want to send a bulk message, add these e-mails to your contacts, then send a bulk e-mail and they will all get a text message!

Can anyone confirm whether this works on 02?

I believe the following "is supposed" to work:

O2 M-mail (formerly BTCellnet) - Enter phone number, omitting intial zero - must be enabled first by sending an SMS saying "ON" to phone number "212". Goes to +44(telnumber)@mmail.co.uk

I am in the process of migrating my number from Orange to O2 (via PAC) for my new iPhone and would love to know whether this actually works!

Regards

Scott

Scott,

I don't have an iPhone, but I do have a phone on the 02 network. I've been using Remember the Milk, and they use the 02 mmail to send reminders. I've just finished setting up.

Send the text message ON to 212. You'll receive a confirmation. Then go ahead and email +44yourmobilenumerhere@mmail.co.uk and you'll get the email as a text.

Works great (don't know how much they'll cost though).
