3rd generation nano frozen and won't reset

I have a 3rd generation nano, that is about 3 weeks old. It is frozen and it won't reset. I've reset before with no problem, but for some reason it won't reset anymore. Any tips?

i plugged in my ipod to my comp it didnt show up on my itunes it just suddenly froze i had it on hold before hand i tried toggling the hold nothing happened it just stayed locked and frozen
