Epson SP RX680

I recently bought the Epson Stylus Photo RX680 printer and upon installing the software, leopard said it couldn't find the drivers when i went to add it. Considering the printer came with a sheet of paper saying it was Leopard ready i gave it the benefit of the doubt and downloaded the new drivers from the epson website. Even after installing these new drivers, which epson says should work with leopard, Leopard still can't seem to find the drivers for it. Scanner works fine its just the printer drivers.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times to no avail. If anybody knows a solution, please help.

Same problem with DX7450 and Epson R1800, tried through airport, linksys printer server, as a windows connected printer, via cups on a linux server - and now completely run out of ideas. Prints half a page then stops with communication error (driver EPSON SP R1800). The 1800 does however work locally - but thats not what i want 😟

The youtube video seems to have been removed - could some on explain the steps ??

i hope this helps. i just got a cx7400 today. apparently the drivers that come on the cd are NOT compatible with leopard. during the install process it prompts you to download the latest drivers. the only problem is that it won't work if you install them on top of the old drivers.

i simply removed the printer from system prefs, then reinstalled with the downloaded drivers. worked perfectly after that. here's a link to the latest drivers:
