Bad Sound Quality Insignia Bluetooth Headset with iMac

I have this Insignia Stereo Bluetooth Headset Model #NS-BTHDP. It sounds great with my cellphone, but completely awful with my iMac. It is very muffled sounding like on a bad telephone connection.
They do work in stereo on both the cell and iMac. So it is only a case of sound quality. Please tell me if there is any way to fix this problem?
Maybe hidden iMac audio outputs to adjust? Or a program to download that will fix this weird bluetooth connection between the iMac and the headset.

I'm having the same problem...my macbook recognizes the insignia bluetooth headphones as a headset and the device will not connect.

I thought of that as well. So I disconnected my mouse and still had the issue with the poor sound quality.

can you help me pair my sonyericsson to my mbp 10.5.1?
i have the exact same headphones but bluetooth does not recognize the device.
do i need any additional usb adaptors?

Are you sure that you put them in discovery mode when trying to connect with your mac?
