I have that latest iTunes version on my Mac (running Tiger) and when I click the iTunes Store or Shopping Cart button, I instantly get an Unable To Connect message telling me to check my internet connection. I obviosly have an active connection because I am starting this thread.
So I went over to my iPhone and opened up the iTunes store, and it also doesn't work. Do you guys have the same problem?
20" Intel Core 2 Duo (2.16 GHz) iMac, MacBook (White),
Mac OS X (10.4.10),
iMac: 1 GB of Memory, 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, Final Cut Express HD, iPhone 8GB
I have the same problem. It feels good to know that I am not the only one, though. I hope it's something related to Apple and will get it fixed soon...
I was in the middle of a song download and I got the "cannot connect..." error too! I ran the diagnostic program and it says everything is OK, yet I still cannot connect. North Carolina
True here in Springfield, VA too. Can't connect, checked internet connection, not an IP issue. *****, need to download some new songs before my trek into work tomorrow!
It would seem that this is a very widespread problem. I'm running Leopard and iTunes 7 (Fully updated) and am unable to access the iTunes store. Curiously, I was able to download an episode of a podcast I subscribe to. I am unable to access the store through iTunes though. If I go to the store through Safari it's available and online. Guess we'll just have to wait it out and see how long it takes for them to get it fixed.
