gloves?

Has anyone had any experience yet with using gloves and the iphone? I can't seem to find a way around this. Do I really have to take off my winter gloves to use my iphone when it is freezing outside?
Thanks

michandbett,

If it is freezing outside, you may want to find shelter before using the screen because when it is that cold it could be below the recommended operating temperature range. More information on the operating specifications can be found here:

I have used it in the Sierra's which don't have much snow yet by keeping it in my coats inside pocket, and answering calls with the included headset.

Hope this helps,

If you are an in-house worker, it's ok to take your glove off to use the iPhone; but if you are an outside worker, just cut the tip of your glove off enough to expose your finger skin because the iPhone screen works with your body electricity. It wants a real touch directly from you, not with a stylus, not with a glove on. And I hope you don't use your middle finger, it may not like that. Just kidding! An iPhone is a great product, but it needs some improvement.

A normal stylus will not work for the iPhone for the reasons outlined in the posts in this thread however, there is a stylus available.

To be honest it seems like a pointless idea to me. The iPhone was designed to eliminate the need for a stylus but this could be the answer for you.

Hope this helps.

IMO a stylus still has a place on the iPhone. There are plenty of people with big hands like myself who still have trouble hitting the right keys. I've always had this problem on cell phone, constantly dialing wrong numbers!

A stylus also opens a whole new world of 3rd party apps like hand written notes, drawing apps, tracing routes on maps, etc.
