Powerpoint 2004 issues with 10.4.11 - Crashes

We have a collection of MacBooks here, with a very weird issue.

Open any Powerpoint 2004 file, including a blank one, go to slideshow mode, and the program crashes. I got a fresh machine out of the box to test, and installed our default 10.4.10 image, Powerpoint worked fine. Installed the software updates, and it crashes.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Though strangely, I cannot recreate the issue on my MacBook, which is the same specification, also running 10.4.11.

Anybody got any ideas? We've tried the usual stuff, but basically we've narrowed it down to 10.4.11
