error code -36

Hello,
I have been using SMB sharing to connect my macbook to my PC for a month or so, and everything was working fine. Until two days ago! I started receiving "error code -36", after Mac was trying to connect for 2-3 minutes. The local security policies in the PC are correct. I followed the instructions from an Apple article which has to do with the "sudo pico", but it did not work.
Any suggestions?

Well, I opened the UPnP but where do I see the PC on the Mac? I opened network then servers and the only computer seen is the Mac.
What do I do wrong?

These will be "inside" IPs, so it's no risk since nobody "outside" could use the,. btw.

The IPs are:
Router 192.168.2.1
PC 192.168.2.2
Mac 192.168.2.3

Sometimes, Finder>Preferences>Sidebar, toggle off the Show Network Icon, wait, then toggle that setting back on, will renew the list in the Network sidebar.

Try this on the Mac...

Use the Directory Access app in Utilities, make sure the CIS/SMB properties like Workgroup name is the same as the PC.

Finder>Go menu>Connect to Servers, then enter smb://192.168.2.2/Sharename

I forget, did we add your Mac User account to the PC yet? And setup a Folder for Sharing?

Thanks for your answer.
But I have bad news. The PC "crushed". So I will have to wait a while for the PC to come back to life after reinstalling everything.
Yes I had created a network place in the PC and I could connect to the Mac without any problems.

No,its not getting ready to crash. It crashed already. But because X-mas is nere I will see to the PC problem after the holidays.

Hello again.
I write back to tell you that I reinstalled everything (windows OS, network card on the PC, router), and networking is back to normal (a few clicks on both computers).
