Since I installed Leo on my Mac Pro, my R2400 will not work as it used to. I can not access the printers option menu where I can setup the paper, printer resolution, etc. When I am printing out of photoshop CS3 I will only get a standard printer menu provided by Mac OS and not by epson. I can´t change any settings and the prints come out terrible. I use the latest Epson driver - 6.12 - but nothing works as it should. Does anybody experience the same problems or might have a solution for this? I got plenty of print jobs to do before christmas! Thank you for any hints ... Jochen, Germany
David,
I am still struggling with my Epson 950. It will print test pages and PDFs but not from iPhoto. Please could you (or anyone else) tell me what driver you user to get yours working. Many thanks. Andy.
Hi there ... i am running cs3/tiger/r2400 ... after upgrading to cs3 from cs2, color prints on the R2400 are muddy. I applied standard ICC profiles when using cs2 and the same printer and was pleased with the results. When printing with cs3 i have selected that photoshop control the print. In photoshop the photos look great ... however, in print preview the colors are horrible with cs3.
I do not have much experience working with the mac to r2400 interface and was wondering if you could help point me in the right direction.
I have also tired all these remedies to no avail. There must be something wrong with the driver or some incompatibility with how OSX manages colors. Either way it is extremely frustrating and I am also thinking of buying a different brand printer.
I recently moved to Mac from PC. I do a lot of photography and graphics, but if
I had known the can of worms I'd have
to contend with, I may not have made the
move.Just glad I can still print from my
PC."I love the Mac don't get me wrong".I am though beginning to HATE Epson!I own
a R2400 and I've tried back flips,jumped
through hoops of fire and all the rest
of the so called remedies. If I could
find a viable alternative I'd ditch Epson in a minute! This driver issue is just unacceptable and shows reckless disregard for their customers professional and hobbyist alike. They come out with these half baked drivers and hang everybody out to dry.Venting is over.
Jeoffrey... same problem here.
I am going crazy as well with the R2400. Can you send me your email address?
I'd like to keep in touch so we can get this worked out.
