Unable to Burn CD's using iTunes

I am having the same problem and it is driving me crazy! I don't know what to do!

Mine says "Unknown error (21310)" and pops the CD out of the drive. I've tried everything I can think of, and it still will not burn CDs!! Help please.

I have had the same problem a few times in the past.
Try a different disk. If that doesn't work, try "Make Audio CD" <<is under the "File" pulldown list.

i am having the same problem iv tried to update all drivers differant speeds updated itunes ran diagnostics i just cant figure it out apple *** and they need to fix this problem

Same here "The attempt to burn a disc failed... an unknown error occured (2131)" DRIVES ME CRAZY! Have you figured anything out? Let me know!

This release is known to have an excessive number of bugs.

i was not but i thought that upgrading it would help the issue but nothing changed at all

I also would like an answer to the burning (cd) issue.
I am getting the error 2131 message.
I noticed that many of us with the same problem -have Dell's??
I am able to burn discs with other programs on this laptop not in itunes.
I tried audio cd and data cd burning- same 2131 message.
Tried several brands of cd-r.

If you have a Dell Laptop, then the fix is probably a firmware update. This link should definately help. Download the file and extract it to a folder. Double click the executable and then search for the bin file (button in the upper left hand corner). Open the bin file and if your cd or dvd burner matches the bin file, the update will run. Restart the computer. This has worked every time that we have applied it.

it even says on the page "Fixed the iTunes issue with 'The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occurred (2131)' when you tried to burn playlist to disc for blank CD-R media."

No! I still can't figure it out...Maybe it has something to do with the dreaded Vista? Anyone else have any ideas?

I attempted to burn an Audio CD from itunes last night, onto a CD-R and the Error Message I received was something along the lines of 'can not burn songs onto cd b/c they are itunes songs and they can not be burned.' Is this true? I was under the impression that since I purchased these songs from istore that I would be able to burn them to a cd. Please help! Are you not allowed to burn itunes?
