Well, I called DELL and did the live chat with a technician. After being on the phone for around 2 hours, he downloaded the latest firmware for my driver and said that would solve the itunes conflict. So, we did and it froze. Then restarted the computer and tried again. It downloaded successfully the second time, however, when trying to open the drive... it wouldn't budge. He proceeded to tell me that the firmware had damaged my drive and now I will be unable to use it until they can get a technician to my house to install a new replacement driver. SWEET! I cannot use my driver/burner until next Friday at the earliest. The only good thing I can think of is that since he damaged it, they're sending me a new one that already has all the updates and firmware patches on it so that it will be compatible with itunes, no problems. (or so he says! lol) Call them up and maybe they can damage ur drive as well and you can get a new one! haha 🙂
