Suddenly iTunes says it's syncing, but nothing happens. The phone just goes back to charging mode, and iTunes is just stuck on the "Syncing Phone" part. If I cancel, iTunes just gets stuck on "Canceling Sync".
Any help thoughts?
Snierbo2k7, you and Wayne may be seeing USB issues with Leopard. And it's also possible that those USB issues only happen when we're seeing this (apparent) server problem.
As for Apple reading this forum, they generally don't.
And the company is generally on vacation between Christmas and New Years Day. The only people working are those who are pushing to get their own jobs done.
The tech support staff probably has no access to servers, even if they knew what the problem was.
1. Unchecked all tabs
2. Turned off my wireless
3. Put on a tin foil hat
And presto...I was able to media on my new iPhone. Seriously...this has been a major pain in the ***. Thanks to everyone for posting their success stories!
I bought iPhone end of Dec. It worked for two days. Since upgrading iTunes to 7.5, I can't even get iTunes to recognize the phone! Just realized now that my PowerG4 only has 1.1USB...
Anyone have any fixes for using iPhone w/o USB2.0??? This is a really expensive paperweight!
First of all, thank you, Dennis, for all of your suggestions regarding this issue "Geniuses" at 3 different Genius bars throughout NJ & NYC have come-up empty on this issue. The dullest of the bunch had the audacity to say,
"Apparently you're one of the few people who's having this issue...Sorry we can't resolve it." I had immediate flashbacks of all those calls to Dell, years ago.
What's puzzling is that, since my upgrade to Leopard, I had been able to execute a complete sync of Address Book, iCal, Music, Videos, etc. with my iPhone. Then on 1/06/08, I began to notice that items were not being synced and that groups no longer appeared in the iTunes sync pane, neither for iCal or Address Book. After days of resetting iPhone, installing and reinstalling iTunes, and re-setting Sync history, I was able to successfully execute a sync of iCal only.
The only solution offered by one of the Geniuses (and the store manager) was a refund for the cost of Leopard and a reinstallation of Tiger. Does Apple realize that its managers and Geniuses have adopted an attitude of learned helplessness regarding this issue? What are their engineers intending to do about this, I wonder.
Hi guys, hope u all can help. Since there is already a thread started for syncing, I shall tag my problems here.
My iPhone crashes my laptop each time i tried to sync it to iTunes. I just bought my iPhone yesterday. All is ok so far except that I am unable to sync it to my laptop.
My iTunes is the latest version and my laptop is on Window XP. When I connected my iPhone to my laptop, I can see that iTunes is trying to detect the phone but seconds later, my PC crashes and reboots. This happens EVERY TIME when I plug in the cable from my iPhone to my laptop. Can anyone help me please?
