Having read all the stuff in this thread I still want a K750i but I think I'm going to have to use a PC (shock horror) because doing this stuff to my Mac fills me with dread and at least the software that comes with the phone will do the basics like copy my address book. In fact, I may even just spend £20 and get a SIM card backup thingy and do it that way and give up on computers altogether....

I just connected my new Sony ericsson 750i with my g4 gigabith computer and it couldn't yet synchronize with iSync (Tiger 10.4.1) but I could use the telephone as a remote control for I tunes (very funny), sitting outside on my balcony, and i´m sure its only a matter of time before the will be an update with the nessecary changes so that iSync will work with this great telephone.
Patience will be payed out !

The iSync 2.1 (88.0) now loaded tonight I can report that my K750i now appears to iSync ok. I've tried exchanging files too and all seems much better. But, regretably I have to report that I still get a kernel panic attack when I pull the USB lead out from the socket. Even when I ensure all comms channels have been closed down between G5 iMac and K750i (and the memory stick unmounted by dragging to waste bin).
Sad, and I had hoped after such a long time that all would be properly sorted. Does any one else experience the same or is it just my system?

I've just down loaded iSync 2.1 - yes it works much better and recognizes phone, exchanges files and completes a full iSync. But using the USB cable with K750i and pulling the cable out (even after closing all open data channels) causes 100% kernel panic attack. So yes - things are much improved but users must remember to power down their machine if they want a graceful exit!
