Motorola v330

From what I've gathered, Motorola/T-Mobile's v330 is essentially a v551 in a different case. Does it automatically sync over Bluetooth with iSync (the v551 does) or if not, does anyone know if there's a way to make it?

hi, I just recently bought the V330 and I just purchased the USB cable to connect to my computer. All I want to do is upload my pictures and video from my phone to my computer, and I cannot figure out how to do it. Do I need the software?

Ringtones work well... since it supports MP4... I converted a song I have... opened it in Quicktime pro... cut out the intro... used Bluetooth File Exchange to upload it to my phone...and just saved it as a ringtone. To access it on the phone just go to Menu/Multimedia/Sounds....

Does anyone know why after I changed all the V600s, to V330s, and it worked...why I can't get the address book to use the phone to dial a contact?

No, but I wish I did... if you figure it out please let us know. My only thought is that there's a similar pref file for the address book that needs to be modified, but I haven't been able to find it.

And as an aside- does anyone else here use the v330 with a Palm via bluetooth? Palm's drivers are hopelessly old, and my "custom" pseudo-configuration only sort of works... (i.e. i can send but not receive SMS).

My Dad has a v600, and he mentioned that when he syncs his calendar, he's given some options about how far in advance to sync. Unfortunately, the farthest out he can sync it is one month in advance - meaning, he's only got the next month worth of events in his phone.

Does this apply to the v330, also? I'm thinking about buying one soon, and want to know if this will be a problem.

I can sync upto 8 weeks in advance on the v330

For the record, no one can synchonize events beyond 8 weeks in iSync 2, as this limitation is hard wired into the program. A patch was developed for iSync 1.5 and earlier releases, but the string to patch using that method has not been located in the updated version.

since your dad has a v600 can you tell me how he got it to work ???
I am using a usb bluetooth device to connect my g4 i book to my v600 and cant get iSync to "see" it I have it "paired" but I can't get anywhere else
