Bubbles under the glass???

I have an 4gb iPhone that I got at the launch of the phone that has bubbles that are appearing under the glass now.

I have 5 bubbles thus far and more as showing up as the days go on. I can't find any reference to these on apple's site but I am seeing quite a few people talk about it when searching google.

Is this something apple will take care of at the Apple Store and replace the phone?

This is not due to any abuse, it's just a fault of manufacturing or something.

What's the deal here?

The bubbles appeared on my 8GB iPhone too. It was promptly replaced, under warranty, at the Apple store.

The genius described the problem being "burst" pixels in the screen - he examined the screen with a scope like a Doctor would use to examine your ears.

It seems that everyone with the issue are early adopters. has anyone with 'bubbles' recently purchased their iphone? i bought mine in early january, no bubbles.

Does it not bother anyone that they are getting refurbished phones instead of new ones?

I'm weird like that and that would kind of bother me.

Do they only give refurbished phones? That seems a little ridiculous... Seems silly to trade in for a non-new replacement...

Well, Thought it was only me ! I wanted to visit apple store to check it out. Looks like I'm not alone, It started with one and now I have 3 bubbles in my screen.

do you have to have the Applecare Protection Plan for the iPhone to get it fixed or even replaced with a new iPhone?

My iphone's display has a huge gray bar on it and i cannot see through it. It looks like the display is distorted. How can I fix it?
