Classic Firmware 1.1: What's new?

Just downloaded Firmware Version 1.1. The minor issues I had (mainly sorting of Coverflow) remain... The cover-flow images seem a bit larger, but I might just be paranoid.

Anybody else notice something different???

I've never had a lick of trouble with my Classic, but 1.1 did it. I run my iPod through some studio monitors at work, and the hiss problem was pretty obnoxious. I thought I could live with it until today; I noticed I still heard music (and not softly) when I turned the volume all the way down, and then I noticed that a track I was playing was listed as the one that comes before it. I downgraded at lunch and hope everything will be back to normal.

I just sent this msg to Apple.com - one does what one can
Hi.
Being a big Apple and iPod fan, I call to you, almost in disbelief, about the recent faulty situations about the iPod Classic. Please do read this – if the iPod team knew how to relate to these problems they would never had emerged in the first place, or had been quickly solved, and that's not happening – again.
I bought my Classic with the firmware 1.0.1 in it and I was oh so satisfied with the thing, excellent sound and reliability, until the 1.0.2 update came out, and everything went down the drain, with all the problems I hope you’re aware of. Everyone went a bit crazy for almost 1,5 months. From Apple not a word.
Then came the 1.0.3, which solved some of the most annoying bugs, but gave a major blow to the iPod Classic formerly marvelous sound. The sound stage got very small, the sound once all around you, got to be inside your head, the timbres got floppy, messier, and the Classic started to be mentioned in forums as a “poor sound device” – I hope you know that too. And I’m not talking about sound reverbs or anything like that – just sheer good sound.
Then comes the 1.1, and everyone is getting crazy again – iPods bricking all over the world, white noise coming out of the phones after shut down, proper 3td party accessories like Harman Kardon speakers, BMW, Toyota and Jeep car interface not working anymore (to mention just a few I read in threads all over the net) and everyone mercifully hopping for a quick fix, and mostly for a word from your company, at least to say, “sorry, we know about the issues, and are solving them asap”. We costumers wouldn’t then feel so lost, tired and angry.
Is not very likely to understand why I bought an iPod Classic interface to my new Toyota and the thing just stoped working after the upgrade, as for the Harman Kardon expensive speakers, developed exclusively for the iPod.
I am in disbelief, as I said, ‘cos we don’t hear a single word from the Company, and everyone is already talking about a Classic recall – I wouldn’t go that far, but please the head of Apple must get sure that things will be fixed asap, and that in the future, nothing is distributed before thoroughly tested.
The commercial damage done to Apple and to the iPod with these recurring situations must be considerable, too.
Please do make sure the iPod engineers fix the Ipod Classic sound to it’s initial standards and fix all the bricking, bugging and incompatibility once and for all.
Incidentally, no one at Apple reads either the iPod feedback page anymore, or the related discussion threads?!
Best regards
