Need help with Port 3689

Hello - I have followed the instructions from Apple & McAffee (security software) to open both TCP Port 3689 and UDP Port 5353 and removed any conflicts. My iTunes sees the Apple TV as a Device. It shows the GB left on the hardrive, etc. but when I go to sync a 3689 Port Error is displayed and the Apple TV disappears from iTunes. Any ideas to correct this problem?

So after a reboot of my computer, it worked. It must have been due to either the recent iTunes update or my overfilling of the "to be synched" list.

For me, unplugging Apple TV and plugging back in did the trick.

This saved my but.

I could figure out my problem.

I had just upgraded to iTunes 9.0 and my AppleTV stopped working.

I needed to upgrade my software on my AppleTV.

I just updated itunes and the port 3689 came up...grrr. However, I rebooted my routers and it worked instantly! When all else fails, reboot.

For me, disabling IPv6 in the network settings of Snow Leopard made Apple TV jump back to life.
