Error 5002

Every time I try opening my iTunes store I get "Error 5002" Does anyone know what this is about and what can I do?

Thank you.

Receiving Error 5002 in the iTunes Canada store whenever I click on Shopping Cart for almost 3 days now. Tried the address/credit card update... didn't help. Switching to 1-click allowed me to make a purchase.. so it's a temporary fix for me. But I much prefer the Shopping Cart method. Hope Apple comes up with a fix soon... there shouldn't be obstacles to spending money on iTunes!

I found a solution to error 5002. However, I was not getting this error as a result of using the shopping cart. I received this error because my billing information had to be updated. I was not being permitted to download tunes because my credit card had expired! Once I updated the credit card info, I was good to go. Hope this helps some of you. Good luck!

After two months without the possibility to download because of this stupid error, exchanging several emails with the Apple customer service without getting good help, this is what finally fixed the problem for me:

start iTunes
-> iTunes store
-> click on your account in the upper right corner
-> log in
-> edit payment information
-> State: chose the right state with the arrows
-> enter the security code for the credit card
-> chose the salutation (Mr, Mrs,..)

I also changed my email address and my password before, and deauthorized and re-authorized my account at the iTunes store (but afterwards, it did not work, just to let you know).

I had the same issue and was not willing to accept that I had to have the iTunes Store delete my cart of only 30 items. I had a few back and forth letters with no solid answer why the upgrade to 7.6 caused this issue. After reading through the discussions, I saw that several people fixed their issue by updating their Account Information. Most had to add or fix the State or a Credit Card Security code.

I personally had done all of that while waiting for a response other then empty my cart. I had reentered all the information for my card and accounting on a Wednesday, no change. Then on Friday, it worked. So My recommendation is to update your accounting information then give it 24 hours. The cart is kept on their servers and your current account information is pulled up at the same time as you view your cart so I can see how just updating your account information could fix it.
