Unable to Screen Share To 10.4.11 iBook

I just installed 10.5 today on my aluminum iMac 2.4.

I don't understand how to get screen sharing from my 10.5.1 Leopard iMac to my Tiger 10.4.11 iBook G4 which is on my home network. Both machines are wireless. I've got all the updates on the both machines. I've tried to find posts here but I never see the Share Button that everyone is talking about. I want to observe and control the iBook but not allow any access form the iBook back to the iMac other than file sharing.

I've turned on everything in Remote Desktop Management on the iBook. I can connect to it and transfer files but where is the Share Screen button on the Leopard iMac. It should be next to the Disconnect button correct?

I see the iBook in the Share listed on the left. I click on it and log in. I get a user Folder and Hard drive folder appear. There is a button named Disconnect. But I can't find a Screen Share button. What am I missing or don't understand.

Thanks for any help.

I just remembered why this didn't work until I got rid of the old system folder. I had performed two achive and installs; the first form 10.4.11, and the second from 10.5.1. I did the archive and install from the first 10.5 install because I thought there was an issue. So if you ever have to archive and install from 10.5.x the screen sharing may not work 100% afterward. Remove the old folder and restart.

Again thanks for everyone's posts.

I've had no problem accessing a G4 Mini running Leopard from a G3 iBook running Jolly Fast VNC, so not sure why people are saying it can't be done.

Initially, I was getting a warning about a lack of encryption, which turned out to be because the G4 was running an old VNC server rather than the Leopard version. After deleting the old version from the library everything worked even better and faster.
