is it ok to use the other macbook power adapters with the mb air?

I have a few extra power adapters for the Macbook Pro and Macbook. Does anyone know what Apple officially says about plugging one of those into the Macbook Air? I've heard rumors that it's risky and might void the warranty, but I would like to see a direct quote if there is one.

I know those other magsafe plugs are impossible to use if you keep the MBAir on a flat surface, but it's definitely convenient to use a spare Macbook Pro / Macbook power adapter if you put your Air on a laptop stand, or even on a book.

I monitored the temperatures of the MacBook Air's enclosure bottom and power supply temps throughout today in three modes:
1. running off battery only
2. connected to the 45W power adapter
3. connected to the 85W power adapter

Turns out that the high temperatures recorded of 97F for enclosure bottom and 124F for the power supply were the same for all three modes. So my concerns about the 85W causing the the MBA to run hotter were purely subjective and wrong.

The only problem with using the 85W power adapter is that the angle it sticks out won't allow you to lay the MBA on a flat surface.

i got a slightly used 60W macbook magsafe adapter to use as a spare with the MBA, and it seems to be working fine. i can't sense any overheating on the MBA (by hand or using iStat) or on the adapter itself.

i perch my MBA on a CoolPad, by the way, so the adapter attaches just fine to the power port. here's a picture of my setup:
