favourite podcasts not showing artwork

deleting my favorites and then readding all 30 of them fixed the problem. FOR A FEW DAYS!! now it's back to default icons which wouldn't be so bad except the name of the podcast isn't visible unless it's selected.

ANNOYING!!!

This keeps on happening. I have deleted my favourites and re-added them, which solves the problem --- but -- only temporally. Soon enough they are back to their generic album artwork. So I have a screen full of podcasts with just the generic album artwork icons and no way of knowing what they are unless I select each one to see the name on the bottom.

It is very annoying. I refuse to delete them all again and re-add them all again if this is just going to happen again. This really needs to be fixed.

Where is AppleTV 2.0.1? We need it now!

You are obviously not on your own on this one as many are now expressing a similar problem with generic icon only showing., I too have noticed this and only getting rid of the favorites and bringing them back again restores it temporally. I wait to see if there is a solution.

I too am having the same problem... this is the second time this has happened. the first time I did a restore and set everything up again... I don't want to do this again. I came here for some help and it appears so did so many others.. Where are the apple people helping out the customers?

I too am experiencing this missing artwork problem.

I found that toggling between "remove from favorites" and "add to favorites" brought the artwork back. But I had to leave My Favorites and come back to see the effect.

I notice that this thread is marked "Answered" but I don't see one. Am I missing something?

At the suggestion I tried a previous workaround which (while a little frustrating) reset my 37 icons in under 5 minutes. Select each podcast and then choose "remove from favorites" and "add to favorites" in succession. Then hit menu. The icon will not appear but continue to do this to all of your podcasts. When you are finished exit podcasts and go to a selection that hits the apple store (I used Top Music) This seems to prompt the Apple TV to update the graphics of all new podcasts (this is just a guess). At any rate, this gets the job done with roughly 5 clicks per podcast... annoying but bearable... certainly better than looking at all those generic icons. Hopefully a real fix is in the works.

well i hope you had better luck than i did because i went through all of this and then within a week it was back to default icons. i hope a fix is out soon otherwise the favorites page is useless as one cannot see the names of the podcasts unless you hover over each one at a time.

is there a way to actually submit bug reports to apple and get resolution? user forums are only useful for user resolvable issues....not bugs with no workaround.

I also had to manually re-list all of my favorite podcasts -- very annoying. I tried the "remove & immediately re-add" on my own before reading about it in this thread, but it was not completely successful.

Also, why is this thread marked as "answered" -- I don't think that the kludge of a work-around is acceptable as an answer.

sorry...maybe i'm dense but wouldn't a bugfix so that this displays correctly be the appropriate fix to consider this issue answered?
