iMac never returns from its sleep mode.

Hello!
My G5 iMac has been acting weird for the last 5 months. First, it would go to sleep and not wake up. The light would go off but nothing appear on the screen. Lately, it just goes to sleep, and, after a couple minutes, it just shuts itself off.
I took it to the store, the guy ran a hardware test. (Note: this happened 2 days before the extd. warranty expired). He said it was the memory and I needed to get new mem sticks. I did get it from Crucial, because $400 dollars from Apple seems a little expensive.
Well, the computer is still going to sleep...but it's not waking up! OF course, the extended warranty has expired now.
I will get the extended warranty again, take it to the store and hope they don't tell me it's MY memory. MAybe it's the memory slots?

If you have any thoughts, please, help me! 🙂 I love my iMac, don't want it to be a mediocre iMac.

Thanks!

-Pedro
