bookmarks in PDF

I have since this topic before, but no answers yet, so thought I would bring it back up. I have set up bookmarks and hyperlinks in my document from the table of contents to the chapters. When I export into a PDF, the links do not work. so,
1) how do I keep the links I have created when exporting to a PDF
2) how can I edit the PDF, after it is a PDF, to create bookmarks in it

Is the Professional version a retail version, or can you download it free, like the Reader? is there any Mac program that can edit PDFs also?

I'm saddened to hear that hyperlinks don't work in exported PDFs, I shall have to add them in by hand using Adobe PDF creator. How frustrating.

I'd also like to be able to keep hyperlinks active when exporting a PDF from Pages. Just to second that opinion.

Currently, I think the best option is to export from Pages and just make sure the end-user is using the latest Adobe Reader which will automatically activate http links.

Dear Matt,

I just tried this by downloading Acrobat Reader V7 into my Tiger system. The mailto: links work but the 'web' links don't. Am I missing something?

Are your web links formatted starting http://

If not - they should be. If they are - it'll be Reader setting.
