MMS/ Picture Messaging

Does the new iPhone support MMS??? If no, WHY? This is a normal function that all phones being produced in our world of technology have. I have a original iPhone that I purchased almost a year ago. And when the warrenty is up, I'm just thinking about getting a blackberry. Just because the iPhone does not support normal fetures. What are the pros and cons if I do this? Also, if i chose to go with another type of phone, will I still be able to use the iPod part of the iPhone?

Dell, Windows Vista

They should include MMS if you have the Family Unlimited Messages plan, as you are already paying for it. I asked about MMS at a AT&T store today, and they nearly jumped down my throat, and they were very defensive, and said that it is Apple that won't let them do it, no matter what. They became extremely rude and made me regret signing a two-year contract with them. I asked for their district or regional manager's contact information and they refused to give it to me. There is obviously not enough competition in cell phones if a company can exist that acts like that.

In your opinion and the opinion of others, but you know what? The iPhone does not include an MMS client - never did, doesn't now, and may never include one.

If an important want for you (which isn't a need) - something you want to use on a regular basis, you made a big mistake purchasing an iPhone. The iPhone was not designed nor is intended for everyone. And you know what else? There are plenty of other phones to choose from that include an MMS client.

I remember in 1993 when I got my first cellphone, all it did was make phone calls. I could store 99 phone numbers in it's memory. There was no internet, no SMS, no MMS, no photos, no camera, just a phone that made phone calls. Oh and I could swap batteries during a phone call if I did it within 60 seconds and it would retain the call.

It seems we're all so spoiled these days.
