Parental controls and Itunes store

Is any other parent having an issue with the iTunes store and parental controls in Leopard. Even though I have parental controls on my daughters mac set to let her use iTunes and I assume the store, she is locked out unless I cutoff parental controls. This issue started on the release of the newest version of iTunes. Has anyone else run into this issue and if so how did you over come it?

I solved the same problem by:
1. Disabling Parental Controls at the user level via the System Preference panel.
2. Switched to my kids' accounts, opened iTunes' preferences and under the Parental Controls tab I enabled the iTunes Music Store.
3. I re-enabled Parental Controls at the user level via the System Preference panel.
Working so far.
Now if I could only get iTunes 8 to actually work with MY library...

This method has worked for us using OS X v10.5.4 "Leopard" and WITH parental controls enabled.

I've had luck by NOT going through the iTunes store front page.

While in your library or a playlist " list view" (not cover flow), click on one of the little arrows next to the "Genre", "Artist", "Name" etc. that show up when they are highlighted. This will start the iTunes Store! But stay away from the front page just yet. Then, click on the "genre arrow" next to the Home icon. This will take you to a genre based window in the store. You can then navigate using the upper left box labeled "iTunes STORE". The only hyperlink that does not work is the one that is "Music". The pull-down under Genres work as do the "Movies", "TV Shows", etc links but some are a little slow. You can even search.

Also, do NOT click on the little "home" icon at the top of the window, it will not load. The forward and back arrows, however, DO work. If you must get to the home page, click on the "iTunes Store" hyperlink on the blue bar of that same box.

What a pain. Good Luck.
