Exchange Setup/iPhone 2.0

Doesn't seem to be as easy as it looks...I'm probably just missing something small somewhere.

Has anyone had any success in setting it up yet?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

In my experience with other Smartphones, if the SSL cert isn't the problem, then it's most likely authentication settings on the web server in IIS and/or the subfolders/virtual folders. Since there are literally thousands of permutations possible there, I'm probably just going to wait for someone to say what it should be.

So far as I can tell, in 2003SP2, Microsoft-Active-Sync has to have basic authentication enabled. Other than that, I can't really tell what else is the problem.

Oh noes! This doesn't bode well for the rest of us. I don't think I will talk our IT department into changing anything on our server. (I assume that most of us with this problem are in the same situation regarding their IT department).

Waiting months for a firmware update - hoping that this would work - only to be 'let down'. Not that it is Apple's or Microsoft's fault. But it still stinks.
