iPhone 2.0 - Error -9838

Folks,

My iBrick is stuck on a -9838 error after attempting to upgrade to 2.0. It states that "we could not complete your itunes store request." Almost the second you plug it in, it states that there is a 9838 error and refuses to go any further. I've heard that the trouble is on Apple's end (a failure to allocate enough bandwidth), but would I be well-served if I just keep trying to re-connect, or is the error in my phone?

Your help is appreciated.

Jesus

well surely they tested the software on an iphone and they have done updates in the past ... surely they should learn from their mistakes... at the end of the day they are one of the largest technology companies in the world.

why release software across the world on the same day if the servers cant handle it? crazy!

im gonna ring them again and give them a piece of my mind! i have literally been plugging in my iphone and unplugging it for over 5 hours trying to get it working!

ALL APPEAR OK - I got the -9838 error and the -4 error for about 4 hour saying “ Access iTune Store... “ . iPhone just connected to iTune then restored software and reloaded music and video , all working well now , SO DONT GIVE UP - push calendars and contact working but I would not say instant , email does not appear to be pushed to the iphone at the moment !

I keep getting the message - it doesnt look like anything would work - and I am running out of time - I scheduled 1h max for this update!

Is Apple going to respond to this problem? What remedy can they offer?

And all just to make sure Apple makes enough money - the customer doesnt count anymore - only until he dropped the money off at the Apple store - then he is done.

Why deactivating my phone for a SW update??
It was active and valid - what about keeping the phone active instead of deactivating it and running into a risk like this - ITS THE CUSTOMERS PAIN! It seems like apple is ok with that as long as they can just watch that the money comes in.

My Phone is payed in full - IT IS MY PROPERTY - HOW COME APPLE CAN DEACTIVATE IT without facing legal consequences??
My phone is in the 'intended use' and it still doesnt work!

How can I get it back to the point before the update?
I NEED MY PHONE - IMMEDIATELY!!

Apple - what can you do for your 'valued' customer?
Do it fast!
