Fix for Error (-9838)

Some one called apple support and this is what they told him.

"DO NOT disconnect your phone. Intead, when you get the message saying it timed out, click ok. Then click on any other heading, Music for example, in your itunes. Then go back and click on your iPhone icon."

I did this and now my iphone is working

Macbook (Bought in May 2007), Mac OS X (10.5.4)

Well, I suppose this will eventually sort itself out once the volume dies down, but......

WOW - worst product rollout in recent Apple history as far as I can tell. Too bad. I am a real fan but this is truly inexcusable. THis is really going to cause enterprise folks to think twice about migrating from Blackberry or other proven platforms, since this level of incompetence and confusion when dealing with a large user base will not go unnoticed. The Bozo(s) responsible should be replaced - but it may be too late to recover potential credibility in this arena.
