Visual Voicemail doesn't work

When i try to get my voicemail, i get a automated response that says this:

"Welcome to AT&T Voicemail, we need more information to direct your call to the appropriate voice mailbox. To leave a message, please dial the 10-digit phone number of the person you are trying to call. If you have a mailbox in this system, please press pound."

Any help? I don't know my mailbox number, my phone number won't work.

If i call my phone and go to voicemail, the message i get is: "I'm sorry, but the person you called has a voice mailbox that has not been set up yet, Good bye."

Doesn't show if your voicemail is not working and i don't think you can reset it, just change it.

I tried all methods described and all it does is try to dial my voicemail when I hit the voicemail button. Not sure what to do now.

1) From your iPhone, call your own iPhone number.
2) Follow the prompts to set up your voicemail message.
3) The voicemail button on the iPhone should work now.

Yep set it up. It dialed and I chose a password and selected standard greeting. Still the same problem.

so I went to the store and they somehow fixedbthe voicemail...however now none of the apps from the app store work now...
