iPhone 2.0 software and Bluetooth

I am sooo disappointed in the new software. I've successfully used my first generation iPhone with software 1.1.4 with my new Dodge uConnect system ($1,500 sound and bluetooth). Until today.

Upgraded my iPhone to version 2.0. Upgrade failed and got repeated error codes through iTunes. No big deal, I was on my way to Apple store to buy new 3G phone. 5 hours later, have new phone, and apple specialist fixed the original. New phone unable to use with uConnect. It pairs, but doesn't find the phone (?). Called Apple. They said they don't support auto bluetooth devices. (nice to know). Gave 3G phone to son, reactivated my original phone to me - still does not work.

Here I am $500 and one full day later and now there are TWO phones that won't connect to my system. PLEASE FIX THE BLUETOOTH!!!

Add me to the list

Just upgaded my iPhone to 2.0 and I cannot use it anymore through my car uConnect system.

The older version of the Bluetooth software in the iPhone worked flawlessly with uConnect--- now it does not work.

iPhone pairs with uConnect but does not make a phone connection.

I was planning on upgrading this week to the 3G phone --- but now I will hold off until this is resolved.

Same issue, 2007 Dodge Ram Mega Cab. Interestingly enough, my Apple Bluetooth headset doesn't work anymore either.

What an awful roll out: 6 hours without my phone on upgrade day, and now almost a week without handsfree in a state where a cell phone ban is in effect. I love Apple, but like a marriage, they really know how to test your loyalty...

I want to make sure I'm added to list of those having issues...

Same deal...iphone paired/worked perfectly with the 1.1.4 software but once updated to 2.0 doesn't work. Extremely disappointed. Waiting for a fix...please hurry Apple! I even inquired about downgrading the software on my phone until a fix is released but it's not an option.

I too would like to see the 2.0 software upgraded to the blue tooth support we had with the iphone before the 2.0 upgrade. I cant beleive that apple would leave us loyal users out in the cold. I too went and upgraded my prior iphone and did not notice the voicemail problem that it does not recognize my bloothtooth motorola h 710 until i purchased the new 3g and it too would not work with the h710 from motorola, so here i am , cant check voicemail while driving, and cant hear the weak speaker to even begin to understand the voicemail. Please tell us that this is an oversite, and that apple will address this in the next release of the software????

What about all those folks out there with bluetooth mercs and bmw? and all others ? They too were happily driving along checking their voicemail via bluetooth and now they too are either getting $ 400 fines for being on the phone or are not checking voicemail and returning calls as seemlessly as they were before....

Add the Chrysler 300 2008 model to your list. My iPhone worked like a champ with Uconnect until the new upgrade. Per UConnect instructions, I spent an hour at the dealership upgrading the car software and it still won't work. It will recognize and pair initially, but that's where it ends. I am very upset about this as I spend a lot of time traveling and this system was great with the old software!

I use my iPhone primarily for business purposes, so now that it has been upgraded to 2.0, I can no longer access voice mail or have my iPhone connected to my car's audio jack and use the bluetooth headset. This means I have to carry around the wired headset :-\ to check my voice mail.

I'm using a Plantronics Discovery 925 and I checked their website and it says the 925 is compatible with the iPhone. I'd like to return it to Best Buy, but... my 30-days for returns are up, so I may try to take it back to my local Apple Store and see if they can give me a replacement, unless they are forthcoming with a software fix.
