iPhone 3G bluetooth echo?

Add 2008 535xi to the list. Most definitely does not happen with 2G iPhone.

Does everyone experiencing a problem have the old 345 firmware or has someone tried the new one floating around (347?)

I wonder if it makes a difference... It's supposed to fix the yellowish tint that some phones have... I wonder what else it fixes!

347 didn't improve Bluetooth.

I have a 07 Infiniti G35 and I am having this problem as well. Apple is really dropping the bomb with this new iphone. Hopefully they can get this worked out quick, otherwise I am going back to the 1st gen iphone.

I apologize for my ignorance in advance, but does Apple have a tech support email that we can all start emailing for them to open up tickets? I don't know if they are even aware of the problem... if they're not, then no chance of them fixing it!

I just tried a coworker's iPhone 3G with my 2009 Corolla's built in Bluetooth (JBL Audio, non-navi) and had no problems. The functionality of the iPhone via my car's BT was identical to that of my BlackBerry Curve. I noticed what I perceived to be a very (very) slight echo but the caller on the other end said everything sounded fine.

This could have been a major deal breaker for me since hands-free devices are now required in California and built in BT has become my favorite feature in my '09 S. Bah, now it looks like I'm fresh out of excuses not to buy one... Brea Mall here I come!

the echo is more pronounced as you increase volume. Wait until you're on the road in a loud environment and use BT.

Echo is non existant on the original iPhone.

I have the echo on my non nav jbl 08 toyota tundra.

That makes sense since I only tested the setup sitting in the parking lot... the car wasn't even running.

I'll do a little more testing on the road at lunch and report back this evening. I really hope they get this sorted out soon because if the echo is more pronounced while driving I'm going to have to hold off buying a 3G.

at least i know im not alone. 2008 BMW 535 has the echo problem. i did not have this with my prior 1st gen iphone with 2.0 installed. lets hope it can be fixed via software. i cant stand it

It's happening with my 2009 Nissan Murano and my wife's 2007 Nissan Sentra. Our old Samsung phones never had a problem.

I am also having the same problem - add Lexus IS to the list. Also a friend of mine is having the problem in her Prius.

Also noticed that some people can barely even hear when I'm talking to them. Every other word drops out. Don't know if this is related to the echo issue, but it sure is annoying. Especially now with the hands free law in CA!

Does apple read these?!?! Please help!
