Apps going back to home screen/iPhone restarting

I am not sure if people have been having this problem as well, but often when I try to open an App, it just pops back to the home screen. And once it happens with one app, it happens with every other app, and eventually my iPhone just restarts. It has restarted 5 times in the past 24 hours. It is really starting to get annoying, anyone know anything about this?
-Thanks

One thing to add: after my iPhone spontaneously restarts, all the apps work again (temporarily, for some of them).

I just thought of something... I am in Japan, so I was one of the first people in the world to have a new phone with the 2.0 software... the first two days or so, I didn't have any issues with the phone. So chances are, more and more people in the US and other parts of the world will start experiencing the same problems in the next day or so... Maybe we're just the first...

Yathatryan may be correct... I initially did a complete restore (two hours), but it didn't help... apps still wouldn't launch.

Tried authorizing my computer and reloaded the apps and they seem to be working! Not sure if this is just a short-term fix or not...

I haven't read about these issues on any of the major blogs (TUAW, etc.). Makes me a bit nervous...

I was having this problem. I found a way to fix it as a work around.

I had originally downloaded the apps from iTunes. I fixed mine by deleting the apps from iTunes (after making a safe copy just in case) and then re downloading them from the iPhone itself. (Obviously this is a bad solution if you paid for the app.) I was prompted by the iPhone that I already downloaded this and was I sure I would continue, I said yes. The iPhone installed the applications and they have worked great ever since.

As a result until this is fixed I'm not buying software or using iTunes to download.

Apple "is not addressing" that iphone quits out of 3G randomly, apps randomly stop working, and that iphones randomly restart. Thats 3 HUGE flaws with its new iPhone software. Apple is currently being sued on the fact that it is supposedly "Twice the speed, Half the price" it is not twice the speed because for no reason calls drop and you lose your 3G signal. Also multiple times i have been using an app and it just quits out for no reason and sometimes doesn't restart. Apple will not acknowledge these 3 problems because a recall would destroy their reputation of creating "perfect" products which is NOT TRUE AT ALL.

Also the battery life for the iPhone *****. No excuse.

So basicly either we are stuck with imperfect iPhones that will bug us with dropped calls and eventually cause us to change phones, or the lady from Michigan hopefully wins her court case which would require Apple to recall every faulty iPhone (Which is every iPhone), ...

OR, Apple chooses to recall every iPhone anyway because they are truly devoted to their customers (i hope, but i know there is a fat chance)

I will keep these issues in mind when considering buying from Apple again.

People are way too forgiving of Apple because they charge way too much for everything they sell. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

No wonder Microsoft almost had a monopoly a couple years ago.

but i do make it sound like i root for microsoft but i keep an open mind. if apple makes something actually worth the money ill consider it. but they dont.
