Phone turns off when taking away from face

During a conversation, if I move the phone away from my face the conversation is cut off, screen goes blank and phone turns off. I don't get the screen with the options including putting call on speakerphone, pressing end call, etc. What the heck? Anyone else?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

Yes, yours is working correctly, and it is pretty clever! I'm so glad mine is, in fact, working. I just have to take it out of it's case. Enjoy your new toy!
