New 16Gb iPhone and I can't find my own phone number

I just got the new 16G iPhone and cannot find where my own cell number appears within the phone. My friends say it should be at the top of my contact list (the one available through phone), but my number is not there and I cannot locate a setting for this. Any help????

Call a friend, ask them what appears on their phone.

You can list yourself in your contacts and put the number there.
