iphone 2.0 and Mercedes Bluetooth HFP Cradle

Since I upgraded to Version 2.0 of the Iphone software the Iphone will no function correctly with the Mercedes Benz COMAND unit via bluetooth. Before the 2.0 upgrade the phone worked perfectly with the Mercedes Bluetooth HFP Cradle and the COMAND unit, since the upgrade the address book will not upload and you cannot control the phone from the steering wheel buttons in the car. Anybody/Apple support, any ideas if it is possible to get around this issue or when it will be resolved?

To make this clear.

The Mercedes HFP will not load contacts. That is the only flaw, it will work otherwise.

If you are wanting contacts you will need to get either the ViseeO MBU-2000 or the actual iphone cradle. The latter will charge the phone, but the ViseeO will support more phones than just the iphone.

If you do not want contacts then you have the HFP option

Hi All I'm back and unhappy. Latest from me is that after the upgrade to 2.0.1 my phone DID upload my address book. For 2 days it worked fine then I synced with my mac and back to no contacts. Latest upgrade hasn't helped. I have been back to the Apple store and asked for help "strongly" a "pow wow" was called! But it didn't help I am losing hope now and will change my phone sadly eventually. Have sent numerous feed back forms. It was suggested I ring apple tec help. There is a glitch that I'm sure could be solved COME ON APPLE YOU CAN DO BETTER FOR US.

Just to add to the trail, same problem here on both my 2G (2.1) and 3G (2.1) phones. They won't sync with my Mercedes Command. I did send a feedback form to Apple, but as they don't respond you never know if they are actually reading these.

Does anyone know if there are any web pages listing what is being developed for the next patch. v 2.1.1 (I presume). Would be nice to see if this is even on their agenda. As I only bought my HFP cradle in May for £240 (about $450) I don't see why I should now have to throw this in the bin and pay for some other piece of junk that may again be 'disabled' as part of the next upgrade somewhere in the future...

Although I like the new 3G, the cost to change has been horrific. (Don't even get me started on the docks......)
