battery life with 2.0 update

I didn't see a thread on this yet - but then again I could have missed it in the near endless number of 2.0 problem threads.

anyway - ever since I upgraded to 2.0 my battery life has been horrible! My battery used to last a good day and a half or so, and with the new firmware update I can hardly keep a charge more than a few hours before I start getting the 10% battery life warning. I plug my phone in at the same time every night and have never had any problems with battery, but with 2.0 I plug my phone in at night and it dies on me halfway through the next day! I thought this might be due to usage so I left my phone alone for a few hours with half charge and it was almost dead when I checked back. Anyone else having this problem or have any ideas?

Yes I agree the stability is not as good. I was up in the attic (tight squeeze) to get the number of a filter for the heater. I whipped out the iPhone went to notes and keyed in the filter numbers then accidently dropped the phone about 6 inches onto a piece of plywood. It rebooted. (went to apple then restarted).

No idea why it did that. The fall was very short... More like a drop on a table.

Also if I put my phone in the cradle, USB to MacBookPro it goes through an almost continuous cycle of syncing about every few minutes. Very annoying as in the middle of work upcomes iPhoto, iTunes and whatever.

I definitely think the Location Services is to blame. My battery was draining MUCH faster after I did the 2.0 update. The other day I turned off Location Services, left Push on, and my battery life seems a lot better.
Right now my usage for the day is 1 hour, 13 minutes, with 8 hours, 55 minutes standby and my battery shows totally full.
Granted I haven't used it much today because of work but still.

I too am having many of the same issues and posted a question in a different thread because I didn't see this one. I am going back to Apple tomorrow after restoring the phone like they told me to do because I am still having horrible battery life. They said it might be a hardware issue... I am guessing not after reading this but we will see what they say. They said they might replace it since I have only had it for 5 months and it is within warranty.

Another question however, has anyone noticed that the back of the phone feels much hotter than it used to before the software update and days of non-battery issues?
