itunes 7.7.1.11

I updated iTunes yesterday (or was it the day before? I can't remember) as prompted. However, since then I have encountered two problems.

I manage my podcasts manually, and when I tried to transfer some podcasts from my iTunes library to my iPod as normal, they wouldn't sync. My iPod Touch would bring up the 'syncing' screen for a couple of seconds, before returning to the home screen and NOT having updated. It didn't seem to happen with all podcasts, and some worked if I re-downloaded them, but not all.

Secondly, it seems to think my apps all need updating, when in fact they are all up-to-date (confirmed by connecting my iPod to wi-fi and accessing the app store through that.

I really hope so. I am dying to get new music on my iPod. I tried installing an older version of itunes, and got it to work with a copy of the library ini file I hade inexplicably backed up several months ago. It didn't work very well, though. It still froze, and I restored back to 7.7 for the time being, but even using the original .ini file, a good deal of my purchases are missing in iTunes, and re-adding them using "Add Folder to Library" just causes the program to freeze.

I'm also having problems with itunes crashing when my 80GB classic is plugged in. They both work fine until you try to sync, then itunes crashes after about 1 minute of syncing. Nothing's updated though.

You'd think a company the size of Apple would be able to release cross platform bug free updates. I mean M$ manage it a reasonable percentage of the time these days...
