UAD plugins --

The Neves, the Helios, the Pultec Pro, the Nigel... Are they all that? Will I hate myself after hit "confirm your order"? Seriously, are these "must haves" for serious work?

The thing is... all plug-in compressors "compress"...

But it's what the UAD compressors musically do to the sound as it's compressing that sets them above the rest.

Same with their EQ's, especially the Pultec and Neves...

Duende is indeed excellent as well. VERY musical sounding plug-ins. Their early drivers were a mess for me, so I had to return the unit I had, but it certainly wasn't because of it's sound... I hated letting go of that. But I understand they got their Mac drivers working good now.
