Not authorized for my applications on iphone

I thought the 7.7.1.111 update would fix this problem, but it obviously has not as I received this message today. "Some of the applications in your iTunes library, including "appname" were not installed on the iPHone because you are not authorized for them on this computer." Then it shows 13 total problems and lists all my apps that I've downloaded from the App Store. These were all free apps. I then have to go into iTunes and click Store | Authorize computer, then it will work, but this is annoying. I've done this about 20 times since I upgraded to the 2.0 iPhone software. It never happened before the 2.0. I've since upgraded to the 2.0.1 software to see if that would help. iTunes says that it is the latest version also.
I also contacted an apple tech and he suggested that I uninstall the iTunes software and reinstall it. He told me all the apps to remove. I have done this as well. Today I got the message again. I don't see where anyone else is getting this message, except with music, I don't buy music from iTunes.
Has anyone else seen this?

I can't believe this is not happening to anyone else but us two. It hasn't happened to me in a while but it just happened now since my last post.
+*Some of the applications in your iTunes library, including "app-name", were not installed on the iPhone "phone-name" because you are not authorized for them on this computer.*+
Then it gives me a list of the free applications I'm using, it's all of them. I have not paid for any apps yet, I've only downloaded some free ones. I have 9 of them.
One more thing to note, Just prior to this, my Apps button in iTunes said there were several applications that needed to be updated, so I hit the button to update all free applications. It asked me for my apple id and password, it' tried to sync and came back after a second. I hit the sync button and thats when I got the message.
Previously, and I don't know if this is related, but iTunes gave me an error. I ignored it and went on. I have looked up the error in the event log.
+*Faulting application itunes.exe, version 7.7.1.11, faulting module quicktime.qts, version 7.50.61.0, fault address 0x001515c3.*+
If you're having the same problem, please post. If you can help me out, please post.
Thanks

I have never tried to download an app from iTunes, so when I read this, I thought I'd try it. I downloaded a free app "dobot" from iTunes. My phone was sync'ing at the moment I was downloading, so I waited till it was done and then looked at my phone. I didn't see it. So I hit the sync again and next time it was there. So.. worked for me. Maybe this is a different issue and should get it's own post/subject?

Michael, what you are suggesting is the root of all our agravation. The problem is that we have been previously authorized but that we KEEP having to go to to the store and Authorize our computers. Oh, I don't see anywhere that it says "ReAuthorize" under Store. So, I would be up for anyone elses suggestion as to why we have to keep authorizing our computers.
Thanks

Katrina,
I have tried this before, however I don't think that I deleted the whole folder, but just the contents. Today iTunes again wanted me to authorize my computer and it proceeded to remove all the free apps from my phone. I deleted the SC folder and went back to authorize the computer and then Sync the phone again. Apps are back, but this is always the way it goes until next time. I wish we knew why this was happening.
I'll post back in a week or so to let you all know if I'm still going or not.
