Not authorized for my applications on iphone

I thought the 7.7.1.111 update would fix this problem, but it obviously has not as I received this message today. "Some of the applications in your iTunes library, including "appname" were not installed on the iPHone because you are not authorized for them on this computer." Then it shows 13 total problems and lists all my apps that I've downloaded from the App Store. These were all free apps. I then have to go into iTunes and click Store | Authorize computer, then it will work, but this is annoying. I've done this about 20 times since I upgraded to the 2.0 iPhone software. It never happened before the 2.0. I've since upgraded to the 2.0.1 software to see if that would help. iTunes says that it is the latest version also.
I also contacted an apple tech and he suggested that I uninstall the iTunes software and reinstall it. He told me all the apps to remove. I have done this as well. Today I got the message again. I don't see where anyone else is getting this message, except with music, I don't buy music from iTunes.
Has anyone else seen this?

I had to reinstall my OS the other day, and I've run into this same problem.
I had backed up my entire itunes library, and while the application show up in the sync list, they do not appear in the applications section of the library.

Same error when I try to sync. Not authorized blah blah blah.

I must say, I'm (not) impressed that an Apple mod hasn't at least acknowledged this thread.

Hi Angela,

What security software is running on your PC?
The security software could be disabling access to the SCINFO folder.
Next time iTunes prompts you to authorize the PC, try putting it in a selective startup mode. This will bypass most security software. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1275

You can also try to isolate the issue by testing in another user account as described here:
