Vaja cases?

I ordered an ivolution SP for my 3G - black with brown stripe - on 7/31 ... 33 more days and counting 😟

my question is do these cases affect reception at all? inside my house my service is between 3 and 1 bars

I'm still wondering how the flap cases close. It isn't mentioned anywhere that I've seen. Is it with embedded magnets or simple a firm curve-shape that 'hooks' over the top of the iPhone?

And, have you seen the new limited edition "Black n'Red" flap case? Shipping immediately!

There are 8 varieties of 3G case. The "Black n'Red" is the 4th from the left. It's right next to a holster case that I also do not recall from some days ago. I would include a link directly to an image, but it's flash based.

Hmmm... They've removed the customize link that was there this morning, meaning we can't get at the super closeups anymore. Those were sweet, the contrast of the night-black pebbled outside versus the glowing fire-engine red of the inside was quite striking.

(Edit: digging through the history, they even removed the "customize" page itself, I can't get those out to you at all)

Bah, to h*ll with it. I've ordered one. It will ship out tomorrow, w00t! If it doesn't fit my desires, it's a limited edition, I'm sure I can ebay it at some point later. Maybe for a tidy profit.

I just ordered the Black n'Red also. It says that you cannot use a protective shield on the phone with the limited edition case. Does this mean that my invisible shield can't stay on the screen?

Only going by the web appearance of the case, I think they mean it's not large enough to fit an iPhone already in one of those skins.

I expect it easily has space for one of those thin screen protectors, and possibly has just enough flexibility for the extra width created by that paint-on shell mentioned in some other thread.

But, no way you can use a vaja if you have already stuffed your iPhone into something like an iSkin.

But something like the Zagg Invisible Shield or the Clear Body Armor may be fine?

Hey bud, it's your money - you look at the image of the phone in the case on the website, take a look at how it seems to fit from the high-res photos of similiar cases (hint: it's the ivolution Top in different colors) and judge for yourself what sort of extra space there might be between the iPhone and the inside of the vaja.

The funniest thing? When I began reading this thread and went to the vaja site, I started playing around with the colors on several items, making a black object with red stripes or features, but decided the red wasn't bright enough. Next morning, a black case with bright red appears! Whoa!

It is as you said a reinforced curve that snaps over yje top of the phone and provides a very snug fit

I have had my ivolution SP case for almost a year and can tell no difference in reception i or out of the case

I use an invisible shield on my 2G iPhone in an ivolution SP case by the way mine is Rosso with a birch stripe..... dont know what happened but vaja has removed over half of the cases they made for the original iPhone......I guess I'm getting left behind
